ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes – Effective March 31, 2010, the program is no longer accepting bookings for pre-retrofit evaluations. The program will continue to be administered until March 31, 2011. If you have already booked an appointment for a pre-retrofit evaluation, have completed an evaluation or applied for re-entry to the program, you remain eligible to apply for a grant.
Tax Credit for Public Transit Passes - If you regularly take the bus, subway, commuter rail or ferry, you can get a tax break equal to 15.25% of the cost of a monthly transit pass just by saving your expired passes. The credit will also apply to certain weekly passes and electronic fare card purchases.

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation offers a 10 percent refund on its mortgage loan insurance premium when a borrower buys or builds an energy-efficient home. To qualify for this refund, the home's energy efficiency must be rated using the EnerGuide rating system or be R-2000 certified and meet certain minimum requirements.

Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC) - The HRTC will apply to eligible home renovation expenditures for work performed, or goods acquired, after January 27, 2009 and before February 1, 2010, pursuant to agreements entered into after January 27, 2009. The HRTC can be claimed for renovations and enduring alterations to a dwelling, or the land on which it sits.
